I just tried to look into online banking for Krung Thai and when I tried to apply it asked for my passport number/Bank Account number and pin!

Looks pretty dodgy...the link below is the screen that asks you for your details.

Maybe it's ok , but asking for your pin is a first.

The domain of the link you posted (ktb.co.th) is owned by that bank, so it is not a scam. Just the wrong page.
