Jebhead
I have been using Na Jomtien animal hospital on Sukhumvit road near Macro for several years now but am starting to lose faith in them. Like a lot of clinics here all they seem to want to do is load you and your pet up with endless amounts of pills!!! Can anyone recommend another decent vet in the area or will it just be the same situation? JH
banglay
I use that practice also ..I have found them to be very professional on all levels....If you are worried about excessive medication I suggest that you google what ever the vets say is wrong with your pet and see what the common consensus is on treatment for that diagnosis...you'll probably find they are spot on with there treatment plan.. ktamp
I use the one in naklua. Small shop about halfway on the left if you are heading north. I took my cat in there when he was sick. He got an antibiotic shot and we were told to come back the next day. Another antibiotic shot and medicine to take home. Total cost for both days including medication was less than 400 baht. I also used north pattaya animal hospital as they are the only ones I could find that declaw cats. No problems there. Reasonable prices and clean facilities. I prefer the small shop in that I can walk in and usually don't have to wait more than 10-15 minutes. They like for you to make appointments at north pattaya. LeCharivari
Agree 1,000% with ktamp. I've tried others locally as I now live 45 minutes drive away and have several dogs, but having used the Pattaya Veterinary Clinic (038 423410) for 18 years their knowledge and service is so much better that it makes the trip worthwhile. Avoid Pattaya's most recent and biggest vet's at all costs - their costs and their knowledge, despite appearances, are in reverse proportion to each other. PeeMy
Forgive me for repeating an earlier posting on vets in Pattaya (see thread). I’ve been here 21 years and have seven cats and a dog –all charity cases needing attention at some time or another. I have ‘tried’ all the vets you have mentioned, and all have fallen short in some way – little experience, hit and miss diagnoses, over-medication and so on. Finally I have settled happily on Khun Net and his assistant Khun Porn at the Siam Country Pet Hospital (tel; 038-413689). Go along Siam Country Club Road from the Sukumvit Road, cross the railway line, and 100 metres on the left after the first 7-11, you’ll find the clinic. I have no financial interest in the clinic: my only, and overriding concern is the health of my pets, and Khun Net is, frankly, an exceptional vet. pattaya_girl
I mostly use Soi Nernplubwan Animal Hospital, they are OK. One small problem, took my Siamese Cat to be Neutered a Month ago, he never goes out of the house, but i still had to get him done so he wont smell. The animal on the table before him was a filthy skin bitten bald Soi Dog. (some farang felt sorry for it so paid for it to be spayed) The assistant lifted my Cat up by his neck, now a Month later, my Cat has a very bad Ringworm all around his neck. Its disgusting and now, i am gonna have a right job getting rid of this very infectious germ.
LennyW
Can't fault Na Jomtien Animal Hospital, been using them for about 8 years now, others seem to come and go but this one has a long standing good reputation, a lot of very good vets in this practice. If you think they are loading you up with pills dont be afraid to talk to the vet about it, talk to the vet - not the cashier!
