March 27, 201115 yr Roadhouse is open now. P.S. I think a steak at any of the Sizzler Branches is a great idea. New one at Paradise Park. I like the massive salad bar. Steaks are good too. Although, as stated, i would have no problem patronising an establishment that happened to be near to an entertainment area, for my 50th, were the food, service and atmosphere decent, i would absolutely draw the line at celebrating my 50th in a chain eatery such as Sizzler. It's one step up from celebrating in a Mc Donald's.
March 27, 201115 yr Nothing wrong with a dab of mustard, as long as it is real mustard of course, not that yellow namby pamby puppy pooh that Americans put on hot dogs. I wonder if that is why they are called 'dogs' Some people seriously do need to learn how to enhance or compliment the taste of some foods. called 'hot dogs' cos sausages by law (even in USA) have to contain xx% of meat -- hotdogs not covered by statue and can contain yyyyyy I can recommend a great book for you about humour...... with a U.
March 27, 201115 yr if money isnt an issue - Arthurs on soi tonson serves amazing steak. it is a classic restaurant with arthur himself serving. as good a steak as i have had in the states...
March 28, 201115 yr as good a steak as i have had in the states... If that is the top score on your sliding scale, your quality range may be a little lower than others. If you are going to mention 'as good a steak as I have ever had in xxxxx' the best one I have had was in a nice little bijou place in the cultured part of London owned by a very unassuming chap called Peter Stringfellow, as well as the meal being of the very highest quality, the waitresses were all very attentive if somewhat distracting, but that just added to the entire ambiance. So glad I wasn't picking up the tab for that one.
March 29, 201115 yr I can vouch for the good steaks, also nice ambiance, BUT it is not cheap, and not so close to BTS. Still the best steak for me is top of Landmark hotel, I know it is also cheap but I dont care. I have heard Artur in soi Tonson has good steak. I have tried all the above and Tenderloins and they all have their good and bad days. Also tried Prime at Millenium Hiton which was good, but the wine was incredibly expensive. Madison at Four Seasons was disapponting for steak though dessert was great.
April 19, 201115 yr Author We ended up going to Kathmandu, Nepal (and Pokara) for steaks - about 8 times. Everest Steak House, pretty decent steak (veg/chips) and only about B175. :-)
