hi all

just a question about phone lines. we have recently moved offices. the lines we used at the old office were tt&t and tot. we used the tt&t line for our internet connection which was absolutely fantastic and like lightning. we used t-net as our isp and never had any problems - super fast super reliable.

we have now moved about 3 km away to a condo and bought 2 tt&t lines at great expense 13,000 and 10,000, as we knew the old tt&t line were really good and tot not so fast.

now we have 2 new direct lines that are totally unpredectable, sometimes it says 52k and it's like a snail, it logs on at all different speeds?

we bought webnet isp package as a reserve and tried that as it was always the fastest at our old office but expensive, that's why we used t-net because it was cheap. well on our new lines webnet is so slow it logged on at 19k today.

any suggestions would be great. we have already config the xp bandwidth to no reserve. thanks for that one! :o

but we really need help now, why is tt&t gone so slow?

(i hate computers (sometimes)) fatty

I posted some info on this in the thread "Pre-paid Internet Connection Cards". Take a look as there are some tips to try and minimise noisy lines.

Phone line quality varies radically in Thailand mainly due to poor installation. It also depends on how far you are from the exchange as line quality deteriorates with distance.
