Gladiator
< I have been a long time customer of the Tikka Centre since it was originally located by Foodland in South Pattaya. I have long since enjoyed the quality of the Indian food , reasonable prices and the delivery service usually by Ali, a cheerful soul, who had no problem finding my room in Soi 4 (Soi Asia) on the hill between Pattaya and Jomthiem. Even when they moved to their new location, wherever that may be - no problem with delivery. What a shock the other evening. The telephone call was answered by an Asian lady with whom I had difficulty in communicating with. I asked if Ali was there? No sorry, back in Pakistan. As I had a take-a-way menu, no problem in telling her my order but then the problem began in telling her where to deliver. Eventually I asked if anyone in the restaurant spoke Thai and I was able to give them delivery directions. When the food eventually arrived it was brought by a motor-bike taxi who wanted 80 Baht fare. The vegetable samosa were, unlike previous deliveries, soggy. I could not find any potatoes in the chicken vindaloo and the salad consisted of cucumbers Time to move on. <span style If anyone has any suggestions for a good curry house and delivery in the Jomtiem area – < I would be pleased to hear. PattayaParent
The one on the corner of Soi 5, one soi over from you, used to deliver but don't know if they still do as I usually walk the 200m over to there.

PP - II Know the the place. Thanks for your reply. Like you, it is within walking distance from me. I have never used it due to comments from some that have. Can you please advise as to your own findings. Thanks
PattayaParent
The food there is fine, I use it regularly although I think there's a new cook there now, certainly new other staff as the Nepalese guys are gone. But you have to specify that you want it spicy, otherwise it comes bland.
Gladiator
Thanks for the info. Went there last night. Vegetable samosas; Nan; Prawn Masala; Chicken vindaloo; pilao rice; plus a Thai food dish - just over 1000 baht for three of us. Everything good. specified spicy and that is what we got plus some to take home. My only comment is that the samosas were were not exactly crispy, but still okay. Thanks for the 'Heads Up'
