geriatrickid Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 So even this guy Obama calls it a civil war Wonder how Abe Lincoln or Jefferson Davis would have felt if another country tried to stop their civil war? Claiming one side was killing civilians After all both sides surely did. So you think other nations didn't pick sides in the USA civil war? Wrong. Apparently the Trent affair and the near war with Great Britain has eluded some.
geriatrickid Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Does a no-fly zone include taking out aircraft on the ground? yes.
Jingthing Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Does a no-fly zone include taking out aircraft on the ground? yes. If you're gonna do it, why fool around?

Unfortunatley rape is a crime that occurs is every country around the world. And is not a reason to bomb the shit out of a country. Only fools would think/ do otherwise.

Apparently the Trent affair and the near war with Great Britain has eluded some. Not comparable to other countries coming into a civil & physically siding/attacking with one chosen side But if you want to compare this to that then....Note the difference.. Even before the Civil War erupted, Britain, with her worldwide interests, needed to have a military policy regarding the divided United States. In 1860 Rear Admiral Sir Alexander Milne took command of the North America and West Indies station of the Royal Navy. On December 22, 1860, with secession still in its early stages, Milne’s orders were to avoid “any measure or demonstration likely to give umbrage to any party in the United States, or to bear the appearance of partisanship on either side

Yes again the analogy of enforcing the no speeding law in any country. Destroy the cars so they cannot speed & if a few pedestrians get killed while doing so..... Hey why fool around. In fact blow up all the roads/runways so they may never drive their cars/planes again. Maybe next week find a way for them to never have planes again? Of course we will police this for a decade or two eh?
Jingthing Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 (edited) Of course we will police this for a decade or two eh? Possibly but it isn't inevitable, assuming the Queene Bee is made gone. Also won't be the US so much this time, thanks to the Obama doctrine, which I do like on paper anyway. Edited March 27, 2011 by Jingthing

As for the Obama doctrine......Many liked his hope & change on paper doctrine too....later not so much
Jingthing Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 (edited) The Iraqi people didn't beg for help or to be invaded by America. The Libyans did ask for help. How simple minded is it to think they are the same situations? Edited March 27, 2011 by Jingthing

How simple minded is it to think they are the same situations? First off I was responding to your statement Possibly but it isn't inevitable, assuming the Queene Bee is made gone Secondly you are calling the Libyan rebel forces "The Libyans"? Did the South or the North speak for all Americans in the US civil war? Edited March 27, 2011 by flying
