it may be worth asking in the ladies section of this forum as I doubt many of the guys on here have long enough hair to do a comb-over let alone need straightening :o

It can be done my GF had hers done in feb, She has straightish hair but wanted it really straight, paid for some treatment they use a cream it takes a while and the more you pay for the cream the better and longer the results last. Dont know if this is the same thing you mean but if so it can be done.

My g/f is going to have hers done tomorrow (22nd) - 700 baht in Rawai, Phuket. Can be as much as 1,500 baht, but she was recommended this lady. I'll let you know if it's a disaster!

I may even post a pic tomorrow, if she'll let me. But it's a bit dodgy doing that on an Internet web site. Wouldn't want anyone to mess up their keyboard. :o

There is a product sold in most Thai supermarkets called "Caring hair straightening creme."

It sells for about 45 baht and it works.

It takes about 30 minutes to do and the results last for quite a while.

The problem with all of these these type products is that they contain chemicals that can do all sorts of damage to your skin.

Why do people with curly hair want it straightened and why do people with straight hair want it curly?

I think it's the partners who want them to do it, so they think they're with a new girl :D

My Mrs has just had hers done again and it usually last for 4 months or so. I like her with it either way, straight or curly. I know what though, there is no chance she is having it done in the UK, how do you women put up with the prices they charge :o

When I was in Africa ...Nigeria,Sierra Leone,malawi..etc all the local women used to spend an absolute fortune on "air straightening" but very few went for the white light look so I suppose its all swings and roundabouts.

On the other hand I suppose most gents still spend lot of their dosh on old spice and brylcream....looking good and cant beat em... :o

Another thing I don't understand is why Thai women dye their hair blonde.

Tourists come to Thailand to meet the typical Thai woman. We have enough bottle blondes back in Farangland.

My g/f did that last night - to her arms and legs. Looks great! Some other places are just too tender to bleach. :o

Sounds weird to me!!! Does the colour not come out orange?

Legs and those 'other places places too tender to bleach" need the assistance of Mr Gillette.

After that, it will be like licking an ice cream. :D

My wife owns a salon in Jomtien. She does hair straightening. Uses shwarzkopf products and charges 1,200 baht.

PM me if you want any more info.
