Me thinks again poor reporting from the Nation. It would be good to get the full story. Manned or unmanned crossing/ barriers or not? Whatever It would appear happened, pick up driver tried to beat train and lost? RIP the Innocent.

No, can't suggest blame in Thai media. Strange laws about that here. Can get sued easily.

Very sad indeed. RIP.

Let's learn from this.

No learning seems to happen, the amount of Rail Crossing Deaths in this Country per Year is incredibly high..

It is always sad when this happens ans we dont have the full story so we assume the pick up did not see the train or warning lights or maybe just thought he couls save a few minutes, it happens all over the world and it cost lives. A speeding train here I suppose is 60kph so should have seen it?

Today as I approached a level crossing I was overtaken by 5 cars on a blind bens with double yellows, luckily they all stopped to see the train trundle across the road. Perhaps they had heard of the Korat accident and took note of that, but not of overtaking on a blind bend. There is much work to do with driving standards and behaviours, sorry to say.
