News_Editor Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Suicide bombing kills three people in northern Iraq 2011-04-05 23:49:41 GMT+7 (ICT) NINEWA, IRAQ (BNO NEWS) --A suicide bombing on Tuesday left at least three mortal victims and several injured in northern Iraq, Aswat al-Iraq news agency reported. The explosion took place in Mosul, the capital city of the northern Ninewa province. A unidentified militant, wearing a belt packed with explosives, detonated himself in in al-Baaj district. As a result, at least three people were killed and five more were injured. No further information on the western Mosul terror attack was available. This was the second blast on Tuesday. In the southern city of Amara, two Iraqi civilians were injured after an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded. The blast occurred in a truck carrying food, the driver and a passenger were hurt. On Monday night, an Iraqi soldier was killed and two others injured when an IED exploded in southern Kirkuk. The attack targeted an Iraqi Army patrol that was near Al-Rashad town. Bomb attacks continue in Iraq, mainly targeting security forces but most of them resulting in civilian deaths. On Sunday, two people were killed and ten more injured in two bomb explosions in Ramadi, central Iraq. The two explosions took place within minutes near a school targeting a police patrol.Ramadi is located in Anbar province which covers the western desert area of Iraq.
