April 10, 201115 yr Author 'jdinasia' You might want to add more detail. Age range etc... Formal or informal .... Fair enough, sorry I was a bit cryptic. Her age mid 30ties, private lessons are a possibility, was done repeatedly and successfully before, always 2 hours a day plus homework. She is a very astute plus diligent student. The only reason not to exclude school training is it adds an element of socializing, no Thai contacts here in CM.
April 12, 201115 yr Author I am convinced that some Thais got a good English language training in CM , where pls?
April 16, 201115 yr Three Thai friends have been to NES in the last couple of years and all made good progress in spoken English. They are located in Soi 17 Nimmanhaemin, next door to the Khun Mohr restaurant & opposite Dentaland. Make sure that you get a native English speaker rather than someone from a country like Malaysia where the accent can be a bit strong & the usage of English is a modification of the original. Also, make certain that you get what you pay for. I have heard of a case where someone arranged private lessons but had to contend with ever changing teachers & so a lack of continuity. The manager was very helpful in rectifying things when the problems were identified.
April 20, 201115 yr As canincm and Thighlander have already mentioned AUA, let me add that I, too, have been impressed with their results on more than one occasion.
