Thai tourist police have found a 20-year-old Russian woman safe at a condominium in Bangkok after her family reported that he had been unable to contact her. Anna Gorshkova, who had previously been staying in the Pattaya area, was located in the Phetchaburi-Rama area of the capital on 23 August 2026. Police said she had not been detained or harmed and had chosen to stay with friends without informing her family. Kirill Gorshkova, filed a missing-person report on 21 August 2026, at Na Jomtien Police Station after losing contact with her. The lack of communication had caused considerable concern for the family. Pattaya and Bangkok officers coordinated search Pattaya Tourist Police worked with Na Jomtien officers to trace Anna's movements following the report. Their investigation established that she had travelled to Bangkok and was staying at a condominium in the Phetchaburi-Rama district. The Bangkok follow-up was handled by officers from Investigation Subdivision 1 of Tourist Police Division 1, alongside Pattaya Tourist Police. After checking the information received, officers found Anna at the condominium and confirmed she was safe. No crime reported Police said Anna had separated from her family to spend time with friends, but had not told them where she was or kept in contact. Authorities found no indication that she had been confined or assaulted. The Royal Thai Police said the response had reassured Anna's family and reflected its commitment to the safety and welfare of overseas visitors in Thailand.
