Freight Forward - Oz To Los

Featured Replies

Hi

Well it's loomed!

Me and the wifey are hopefully flying into LoS in late May.

We want to travel fairly light, however I estimate we'll have 2 average packing cases of 'stuff' that we wish to have in Thailand.

My questions are

  • Of those who have made such a move recently or have had cause to transport stuff from oz to LoS, can you share your experience and recommend any mob ( contact details if possible )
  • Tricks and Traps to consider

Thanks in advance

Brian

What city are you moving FROM . . .

I used King & Wilson a few years ago from Melbourne to Pattaya. They are professional enough. Had an issue with "taxes" at this end but that's due to corrupt practices by officialdom here rather than the fault of the freight company.

if you can manage to get your personal items in you luggage i wouldnt bother shipping anything,we shipped 3cube mts.from the uk.and had nothing but hassle at the port in bkk.if it wasnt for the new stuff the wife had bought in the uk.we would have dumpedit in the dock,we were warned by the shipping agent our end people had just left the goods at the port, cost us in the end with delivery 20,000 baht.and you also got to make a desciption of every item you send and make sure you have copies.
