The women have their men in the province. What if your man has a woman in the province? Being new, I have not read this senario and am all ears and eyes

You can't know for months, until you've checked out their story, which is almost impossible if you don't speak Thai.

A barboy who's too old for the business mentioned to me the other day that his older daughter is now 13!

Just read the typical stories (stickman's site is a good place to start) about women with men in the provinces and switch the sexes around. Happens all the time- if you're familiar with the one, the other shouldn't be so shocking.

and THEN there was the farang guy who lived in the house he'd bought for his Thai boyfriend... along with the Thai boyfriend's Thai wife... and the Thai boyfriend's Thai boyfriend.... TIT!

Ijustwannateach agree 100% with TiT.

True story:- I knew a fellow in our soi for several years always passed the time of day etc - he died - went to funeral and noticed fellows wife sitting and being comforted by another fellow that I also knew from the same residence ( I had assumed he was a brother or cousin in law).

Mentioned it was good to see him being so kind - advised of course!! he is the live in husband. (This is quite a well to do family with daughters around 20+ and I then found out the young boy who was promoted to converse with me in English is son of "live in husband not the poor old deceased. TiT

The flip side of this effect for many Thais, though, is that their expat boyfriend on holiday winds up having a "real" boyfriend back home, or maybe even one in every port. Every group has its hypocrisy- so many cultures proclaim the importance of monogamy while ignoring it completely.
