Godaddy Sucks

Hi,

4 days ago I listed my site with Godaddy. I was attracted by the Asian Pacific databases.

Now, after working on it for 4 days / nights, I still have no access to my account as thus can do nothing. It happens when I sign in and the server routes to the secure server ipd.godaddy. All time I got this error among other :

problems found

resourec (idp.godaddy.com) is online but isn't responding to connection attempts

"The server at idp.godaddy.com is taking too long to respond."

I got replies from 5 different people at godaddy but no one helps. Joanne P., Ken T., Peter S., Sara E., Brandon H.(manager). I see many complaints about this on the net and going back to 2007. I think they even don't know by themselves.

They ask me to use a different service provider which I did, I went to Chiang Rai and used a different access point, different computer and different provider. Others errors listed but still no access.

They cannot refund me as I have to do that via my account, which is unaccessible. It drives me crazy.

3BB is telling me they can do nothing as it is the godaddy server..........................

I post the different race report if someone can analyze them

For some reason they are still somewhere on top of the most popular hosting providers.

But why is your account inaccessible ?

I would try to set up DNS forwarding via another host, e.g. Justhost.com or One.com, the domain you can keep at GD.

They're cheap but you get what you pay for.

They aren't even cheap. By the time you have added on all the "optional' extras they are very expensive. And they are still crap. Total waste of time.

I don't know why? This is the error I get every time. With another orivider I have no access as well but different errors.

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at idp.godaddy.com.

It is not Firefox only, it is with every browser and I have the latest 5.

They dont know I guess but on the net there are many complaints about this. Even back in 2007.

Today they mailed me I would get a refund. Wait and see. As for my domain, they say they can do nothing and I have to cancel it by myself on my account which is inaccessible.

To all thinking godaddy is cheap............... IT IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE HOSt.

Godaddy is not a hosting provider I would recommend. After hearing issues brought up by various website providers here in Thailand and in the U.S. They stay their claims are not to be trusted and their customer service and technical support is really bad. If you have an issue that needs fixed or a questioned answered. Expect 24 hour wait.

If you cancel your account, they will hold your domain name hostage and will fine you for not renewing it. They will deduct or take your money from your Bank account, or use paypal to withdraw your money. There was a list of issues filed by some people that was posted on here, and from what I've seen and read, they are mostly true. Justhost is good and their support staff are pretty easy to get in touch with.

I just found out about sleazy Bob Parsons killing the elephant and am now looking to change over my 10 domains. Namecheap seems to be ok. I use Hostgator for hosting too and am very happy with them.

I used fatcow before and it was horrible.

We dealt with both of them and they are pretty much the same. They treat their customers like crap, still your domain (we had to complain to ICAN to get our domains back from Justhost.com and Godaddy.com, cost us about a couple hundred thousand dollars in business) After reading nogodaddy.com reviews and other reviews about both sites. We seen a constant stream of similair complaints and issues. Now, we use another hosting provider, it costs more but the service is much better.
