Can My Kid Join Me On My Trip To Lao?

Featured Replies

My kid has both a Thai and a foreign passport.

My name is on the birth cert.

I'm not married.

Can my kid come with me to Laos?

yes he can (though I'm not sure about goats 55555).

He should use his Thai passport only. Gives him visa free entry into Laos for 30 days, and of course, will allow him to return to Thailand with no immigration restrictions!

Hi!

Have you done this yourself? I'm asking

because a friend of mine who was in the same situation

was refused to exit with his kids.

They told him, that a Thai person has to go as well.

Not to Laos, but when flying internationally and I've crossed the border into Cambodia with my older daughter. No problems.

No problems. Strange that this happened to your friend. Best bring along the birth certificate then, especially if you have different surnames in the passport.

Ok, I just called that friend of mine.

He was refused because he didn't bring his kids PP.

He thought they would get a 2 day border pass. Of course they

can't get this unless they are accompanied by an Thai adult who

can get a border pass.

So problem solved, of course kids can come with.
