Moonrakers
My 1 gig just isn't cutting it any more. I need a ram upgrade, does anybody know how much RAM costs in BKK? 1G,2G or 4G cards. No whistles and bells, just something that works. Cheers

Tywais
Ooh I was wrong, it's DDR2 Depending on speed, that will be around 720 Baht for 1G. Thanni.com
Spoonman
That opens up a better selection, should be able to buy 2gb sticks of DDR2 for 1000baht. EDIT: yep, Kingston 2GB 800MHz DDR2 for 1090b. http://www.invadeit.co.th/product/memory/kingston/2gb-800mhz-ddr2-non-ecc-cl6-dimm-kvr800d2n6-2g-p003381/ Edited April 18, 2011 by Spoonman

Tywais
EDIT: yep, Kingston 2GB 800MHz DDR2 for 1090b. Normally Thanni is cheaper but I took a look at InvadeIT just before your post: 950.00 Baht //edit - believe Spoonman's choice of Kingston is a better one though. Jiu-Jitsu
Even better Thanks chaps What's the max that your Motherboard will accept?
Moonrakers
Even better Thanks chaps What's the max that your Motherboard will accept? 4GB
Jiu-Jitsu
Even better Thanks chaps What's the max that your Motherboard will accept? 4GB That's fine. Usually you should state the model of machine, as not all DDR2 is the same. I guess you weren't looking for a 4GB module.
Noodles
Sorry to resurrect this thread, but my question is related. I too want to upgrade my memory on my laptop. I would idealy like 2 x 4gb, but I can't seem to find it sold on any of the usual on-line sites. My Laptop spec is here; http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/laptops/dell-xps-m1530-review-49295998/specs/ Thanks for any help with this.
astral
What's the max that your Motherboard will accept? Also what the OS is capable of using. I believe XP maxes out at 2Gb Win 7 will handle more.
Supernova
I believe XP maxes out at 2Gb 32-bit OS < 4GB (usually 3.2GB max.) 64-bit OS > 4GB
