janverbeem
I'm using a paid usenet account and am on True 9 Mb" high speed " connection. Now since a bit over a month True is blocking the download speed at certain times of the day to zero. This blocking is quite obvious since I can adjust my watch on it.At exactly 12 O'clock lunchtime my download speed will drop to zilch, nothing, nadda. Then at 1 AM exactly again I will get back to full speed. I have talked with them on several occasions already and of course there is no problem from their side, however they decided to give me a 50% discount for the month of March.I'm also pretty sure that the will give me the same dicount for the month of April if I complain to them again. Anyhow I'm not really satisfied with a 50% discount rule because I can use my speed only for 50% of the time.I didn't subscribe for an internet connection that only can be used during the times that normal people sleep. Is there anything that I could do other than just refusing to pay any further bills untill they disconnect me and at that time just change provider? Laawman
When I had True there was a similar problem with my usenet provider (Astraweb). What I had to do was change to SSL and use the different port, along with using the maximum amount of connections allowed.
Phil Conners
It's an interesting subject, but we don't need so many threads on the same topic. Please continue the discussion here // closed
