The family of a good Samaritan killed in a doublemurder rampage in Bangkok last week was given celebrity aid money and standard compensatory payments from the authorities at a press conference yesterday.

Actress Khemmanij "Pancake" Jamikorn gave the family Bt50,000 due to her admiration for Amnart in helping to pursue the murderer's vehicle in a busy Bangkok street.

The family of Pol Snr SgtMajor Likasit Pilasri, a traffic policeman who was knifed to death by the suspect, also received government compensatory pay.

At Likasit's request, his eldest son will be enlisted as a police NCO while his wife will be employed as a contract worker with a police unit.
