ACAPULCO, MEXICO (BNO NEWS) -- The decapitated bodies of five women were found on Saturday in the Mexican tourist resort of Acapulco in three separate incidents, El Universal newspaper reported.

The Public Safety Department said the first three bodies were found inside a beauty salon around 3:41 am. Two 30-year-old women, one naked and another half-naked, had their hands and feet tied with masking tape. The other body was identified as a 14-year-old girl who was also naked, beheaded, and with her feet tied.

Another body of a 33-year-old was later found in another location. Relatives have identified the body.

Around 9 am, the body of a 25-year-old woman, who was also beheaded, was found inside a car. It was reported that the last two women also worked at the beauty salon.

Acapulco has been marred with organized crime violence in the past months. The latest incident comes as a large number of Mexicans are in resort destinations such as Acapulco for their Easter vacations.

According to government figures, a total of 15,273 drug-related crimes occurred in Mexico in 2010. More than 30,000 people have died in drug-related violence since Mexican President Felipe Calderón began the fight against organized crime in December 2006.
