Please excuse me, if this question has been asked many times in this forum (This is my first post!): Which bank would you recommend for a foreign retiree to use in Thailand? I'm an American contemplating retirement in LOS. I'll be grateful for any advice!

Bank of Asia. They are owned by ABN Amro and the act like banks do in the west (not dependant on the mood of the cashier etc). They also have decent internet banking.

(Unless you are going to live somewhere on the countryside of course - they have very few branches on the countryside.)
