Is it possible to make a transfer with your bank account or to top up with a credit card while in USA? we do not want to lose our phone # or for it to go inactive. thx.

If you have a Thai bank account with internet banking active you can top up online.

If you haven't yet left Thailand you can use the Day GiveAway service, which exchanges a small amount of baht for extended number validity, up to 365 days.

If its got "some" credit on it dial the following,

Extend validity by 30 days - *113*30#

Extend validity by 90 days - *113*90#

Extend validity by 180days - *113*180#

each 30 day extension will cost 2 baht, so to extend by 180 days this will cost 12baht.
