3Bb Limiting File Sharing Speed

Featured Replies

Have been using file hosters for the last 8 months and have had no problem maxing out my connection.

For the last four days i can't get any faster than 300kbps. I usually download around 950kbps.

Rapidshare, hotfile and fileserve all running at the same slow speed.

Will using a VPN get past this limiting.

thanks

Yes, same here - max 300kb/s on torrents as I post this.

I was getting 430 Kb/s last night. Can't say that I've seen any difference in torrent download speeds lately.

Mine is fine at about 700K+ down (I limit up to 100k)

thanks for all the replies but i am asking about file share downloads not torrents.

By the way my torrents are capping at 100kbs.

sorry just started a torrent and maxed out my connection. Looks like it is a Fileserve issue.

Just hooked up to a TOT connection and downloaded just fine.

Looks like 3BB is now throttling filehost downloads or some maintenance job for four days so far.

We were just discussing this in this thread a few days ago....

If anybody cares to read this post properly I am not talking about torrents.

I am talking about 3BB throttling Fileserve and Rapidshare and wanted to know if anybody else was having problems downloading form fileserve or rapidshare.

I not worried what torrents are doing.

Easy now, I was just trying to be helpful.

The thread originates in torrent issues but goes into discussing single thread downloads, which is what you get from places like fileserve and rapidshare.

Have you tried a download manager?

Sorry it is just getting so frustrating. I use Jdownloader and have a premium account.

the thing is i used a neighbour's TOT connection and downloaded at max speed. Came home same file same downloader at running at 50kbps using 3BB.

I am just trying to work why 3bb is now throttling fileserve etc. had a great run for 8 months.

Be grateful you got 8 months

By the way, you might get a better response if you tell us where you are, location is probably the most important thing for broadband problem diagnosis here in Thialand
