Duty Free Liquor On A National Flight

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm wondering how this is done.

I'm looking to buy some duty free liquor upon my return to Thailand. Problem is, once I land in Bangkok I will be taken a non-connecting flight to Chiang Mai. So I have to collect my bags, check in again, and then go through security again.

Am I just able to carry the liquor through if they are still unopened? Or will I need to put it in my checked luggage?

Thanks

Once you have passed immigration and Customs you are inside the country.
From that moment you are subject to the same regulations as any other local passengers checking in for a domestic flight.

So you will be subject to a security check before boarding the domestic flight and you can have max 10 ml of liquids in your hand bagage : they even do not allow you to pass with mineral water in a transparent plastic bottle.
It means you will need to put the bottle in your checked luggage.

Exactly what that guy said.

Collect your bags, stuff whatever you bought into your checked luggage and then go check in at the domestic terminal.

Viola!
