Without returning to the UK, is there any other embassy where I can renew a Non O visa? I have heard that you can do it in Malaysia and/or Perth but am unsure as to how true this is. Also what are the new rules concerning the Non O? I used to fill it in for visiting friends and family and for learning to scuba dive. I have a house rental lease but aside from this I have heard many people are having trouble with the Non O now?

The thai consulate in Perth closed late last year. You have no chance anywhere in asia of obtaining a non o on the grounds you state.

Hull/Birmingham in the UK are your only chances - although Hull is now looking bleak to - according to some posts here in the last few days & according to their downloadable terms via their website.

I have a multi non o from Hull - prior to that I obtained one at Perth - and prior to that from Hull again all on the basis of visiting my thai girlfriend.

I am fortunate that my father has retired in Thailand so I believe that as long as I can provide the neccessary proof to that fact then I can still obtain a multi non o from either Hull/Birmingham on the basis of visiting him.

However the windows of opportunity are slowly closing for us all - unless of course you get married here and can show proof of income from overseas etc............

Maybe you should consider the thai language course and obtain a ED visa.

Hey thanks for your replies... I might look into getting another type of visa then. Mine doesn't run out until October I just want to be prepared (and not have to go back to the UK if possible).
