English Fa Accusations

I was suprised to see how quickly Worawi Makudi has not only denied the accusation by Lord Triesman, but good 'ol face sees him take formal legal action already before any investigation has been conducted.

When is that election due?

No surprises here really.

Thais with power and money are amongst the most litigious on the planet. From Thaksin on down they have habitually used the horrendous libel laws here to intimidate anyone who dares to criticise them and don't forget that in Thailand, libel is a criminal offence and the offender can go to jail!

In far gone days, anyone who upset Henry 8th was greeted with the order: 'Off with his head!'

In more recent days, in Thailand, any one who dares to make the slightest criticism against anyone in the ruling power clique is greeted with the threat; 'I'll sue you for libel and may you rot in jail'.

Is this venal Worawit, who has been using the Thai FA as his personal fiefdom and power base for years through his 'connections' and intimidation, so stupid to think that he can really sue Triesman?

Triesman gave evidence in the British parliament under parliamentary privilege which means he cannot be held legally accountable for anything he says in a British court.

So unless Worawit plans to sue Triesman in Thailand, which is a joke, it is all just so much hot air - or should I say smoke and mirrors , to detract the people in Thailand from questioning what really happened.

No surprises here really indeed !! He is just trying to not lose face.:whistling:

I do so hope the FA have enough evidence.

Without doubt, along with many other, Mr Blatter and Platene should go , who are they, who voted them in , England was set to Play Thailand in a friendly but because of corruption England declined.

they cancelled after thailand voted for other countries to hold the world cup, had Thailand voted for England then the team were coming so at some stage somebody in the FA agreed to the friendly in return for the vote, thats buying votes in my opnion.

Or maybe the plan was to have a friendly anyway, but England withdrew the friendly in protest at the deceitful and dishonest nature of the voting.

Sounds more feasible?
