junkofdavid2
Where do I dispose of these in Bangkok? I'm afraid to throw in the trash, because they're defective already. The poor people may try to use it and get hurt in the process (microwave has a leak, the elec stove is not well-engineered and has a short) How do I throw it away safely? Crossy
I just cut off the lead close to the appliance and get the missus to write 'broken' with a marker pen. Taking the door off the microwave should be sufficient hint.

longball53098
I think he means the power cord,,,,,,,,,,,,,,cut off close to the appliance so they cannot try to use it.
ETatBKK
for some appliances with potential danger ( blenders, sratched ricecooker bowl . . . ), I do extra steps than just cut the power cord : - disassembly them - hammer the core components - pack and throw into the bin in separated time - or, give the ok housing to the repair man for free yet, I still have no idea how to handle batteries in Land of Smile :-(
