Buchholz
On the run ... Adam Freeman Adam Freeman, son of George, on the run after drug seizure A global arrest warrant has been issued for Adam Freeman, Sydney nightclub owner and now international fugitive. Police claim the son of underworld figure George Freeman fled Australia hours after 19.5kg of ecstasy was found in a van linked to childhood friend and business partner Andrew Moss. Police allege Freeman's fingerprints were found on glassware used to make the drugs in the van. The arrest warrant was granted in the past few weeks after police established they had solid evidence linking Freeman - who part-owns Kings Cross nightclub Lady Lux with his brother David - to the drugs. A police statement tendered to Sutherland Local Court alleged Freeman is linked to a number of co-accused charged with manufacture of the ecstasy haul, one of the largest in NSW. Police said Moss and Michael Haynes, 27, both of Cronulla, were driving a rented van near Tamworth on December 15 when they were stopped for a random breath test. Police officers allegedly saw drug manufacturing equipment in the van, impounded it and arrested the two men. The next morning they were granted bail after being charged with possessing drug-making apparatus. It is alleged Moss went straight to Tamworth airport, caught a flight to Sydney and met with Freeman and another man, Blake Geoffrey Ellis. "Following this meeting, Ellis and Freeman purchased open tickets to Hong Kong, paying cash," police alleged. "At the time neither Ellis nor Freeman had any luggage and immediately departed for Hong Kong to avoid apprehension. Records indicate both Ellis and Freeman then flew to Bangkok, Thailand." Buchholz
Additional background information The Sunday Telegraph May 24, 2009 Freeman brothers. Proud sons ... David, left, and Adam Freeman with, inset, Adam's tribute neck tattoo and the boys' matching "George" wrist tattoos. Source: The Sunday Telegraph Our Dad, the Underbelly hero LIKE most sons, Adam and David Freeman loved their dad. So much so, they have his name tattooed on their right wrists. It simply reads "George". But their dad was different to most dads: he was George Freeman, a feared Mr Big of Sydney organised crime from the 1960s to the end of the 1980s. Freeman's sons, Adam Sonny, 26, and David George, 24, grew up in a world with different rules. A world where cops were paid off, judges frequented illegal gambling dens and wages were paid in person, from bags of cash. Their admiration for their father is immense. In an exclusive interview, the brothers have told The Sunday Telegraph how they are carving out their own nightclub business in Kings Cross and have spoken about the influence of their father, a race-fixer, SP bookie and illegal gambling den owner. The legend of George Freeman is large in Sydney. It became even larger when a new generation was introduced to Freeman via Peter O'Brien's ruthless portrayal of him in Channel Nine's extraordinarily popular Underbelly II. As little boys, they remember watching the crew of crooked and colourful characters gather in their father's office on pay day. "All these people would come in to get their wages in envelopes with their name on them," David said. "To make us feel special as kids, he'd give us an envelope with our name on it and a few hundred dollars and Smarties and lollies in it. We'd put it in our penny saver account. We didn't realise how much money it was." The brothers agreed to speak for the first time to make a few things clear: Continues: http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/our-dad-the-underbelly-hero/story-e6freuy9-1225715198223

Buchholz
Dominique Le Toullec allegedly with Adam Freeman overseas Has global fugitive Adam Freeman's girlfriend let slip where they are holed up together? Dominique Le Toullec, a Sydney-based swimsuit model and men's magazine covergirl, arrived in Thailand just days before it was revealed that Adam Freeman - a Kings Cross nightclub entrepreneur - was the subject of a global arrest warrant following a 19.5kg ecstasy bust. Through her accounts on Twitter, Facebook and a personal blog, 24-year-old Le Toullec has detailed finishing up a photoshoot in Miami before flying oversees to meet someone special. "Long flights ahead! Miami-LA and LA-Thailand all worth it for the amazing person I get to see on the other side!" she wrote on May 14. On her blog she said she has been travelling around "Asia and America for the past six months". It is understood she has been staying with Freeman, her boyfriend of over two years, in Hua Hin, a fishing village-turned tourist hotspot about 300km south of Bangkok. There is no suggestion Le Toullec is linked to any of the allegations involving Freeman or that she is aware a warrant has been issued for his arrest. Time will tell if her outstanding looks end up working against Mr. Freeman's flight from justice.

Reminds me ±40 years ago When a bunch of high rollers putting for that time the biggest Go-Go bar, or was it called a Club – can’t remember everything – it consisted several shop houses on Patpong 1 and Patpong 2 top to bottom (several floors) with entrances on both streets, money was no object as the scuttlebutt had it on the street and with high-ranking men in khaki and parliamentarians as part owners of the group anything could be done. Udom Patpong (RIP) was ecstatic with its new renters. Until a large sailing boat off the coast of Ireland lying at anchor attracted attention of the Irish Navy so they went to have a chat with whoever was onboard and after a closer look around on the sailing boat it turned out to be loaded with narcotics. The guys running the joint did not pull a Freeman they continued as nothing had happen – the men in khaki and the parliamentarians were to take care of it. Unfortunately, there was the Irish Navy and Irish Government who were not as pliable as the Thaïs. Result, a number of years free room and board for the farangs, no not in Thailand, the others you ask, well you should know better.
