Qyros Or Kebabs In Cnx

I was in Chiang Mai last week for 5 days, on a trip out of the bush, to get some decent western food but did not find any kebab stands. When I lived in Pattaya, I can recall at least 4 stands that sold them. I first tasted them on the island of Crete in 1976, and been in love with them ever since. Where can I find them next time I am on a trip to Chiang Mai to satisfy my taste buds?? Thanks

Sadly C.M. lacks anything worth mentioning. The Royal India - Kebab House (Indian) are O.K. The family has a large presence; their restaurant, Sunday nights at the Thapae Walking Street Market, and at just about every street festival. The shawarma is not bad. There is nothing here similar to the Arab owned street vendors in Bangkok, however.

Nope, we do gyros Greek-Australian style. Woodys, next to to the 7-11, just down from Spicy on the moat. 5:30pm to 4am. Chicken only. Ours are about 4 times the size of a Pattaya kebab, but cost about twice as much. Cheers
