You can transfer money online from your UK account to Bangkok Bank LONDON, they will then transfer it through To a Bangkok Bank account in Thailand - costs 20 quid per transaction.

When transferring funds into your Bangkok Bank account from overseas, remember to have your account number, the full account name and our SWIFT code (BKKBTHBK) on hand. To find out when the funds have been successfully transferred, you can call +66 2645 5555. You can also arrange for an SMS alert by enrolling via any Bangkok Bank ATM or calling Bualuang Phone 1333.

It usually takes 24 hrs from London to Thailand.

Thanks for info because my Bangkok bank a/c received money from UK bank and it was 700 baht less.:whistling:

So to clarify :- Go online UK bank, go transfers, send to Bangkok bank London branch with your Thailand Bangkok bank details and they take £20 and send it as pounds and you change, when it arrives at your Thailand branch.

I see that you must be friends with " Naam " so can I ask another question please. :)

My Thailand Bangkok bank is a Thai baht account, do I have to open a Stirling account with them.?

Remember that the receiving bank ie. BKK bank in Thailand will deduct 0.25%

Min. 200 baht. Max. 500baht. from all transfers.

So total transfer fee is 15 pounds if you send baht., 20 pounds if you send sterling plus a fee of 200 - 500 baht.
