Heard today from a reliable local source that powers that be are planning another "cleanup" at Haad Rin within the next few days. Apparently there is still not enough $ coming in, even after the last mass poisoning took out most of the local dog population and made Haad Rin a clean and inviting place for tourists.

Heads up - if you are living anywhere in Haad Rin, please ask neighbours to keep their locals dogs safe inside at nights - at least until the latest threat of dog poisoning blows over.

Why don't you send something to some of the National papers? A big thing going on at the moment about the rescued dogs HERE, seems like an opportune moment to bring this topic to light.

For anything meaningful to happen unfortunately we need to show some proof with emotional content - pics and videos of suffering/hemorrhaging/dying dogs, followed by footage of their limp bodies being thrown into the back of a garbage truck in the morning, that could do it. I just don't think I'd have the stomach for that kind of reporting.
