Hi,

I am in the process of sorting myself out to move to Thailand.

It is my intention to teach English, and I am looking into which TEFL course to do, however there seems to be many different types of TEFL qualification. Local colleges here in England run courses and there are countless colleges across Thailand offering the same, but they all seem to be slightly different qualifications.

Does anybody know which one is best to hold, and whether it makes any difference where the course is done. I assume that a TEFL certificate should have the same standing wherever it was obtained, but maybe in practice, schools give preference to Thai issued Certificates?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Cheers
