Map Showing The Phone Exchanges In Bkk

Featured Replies

here would be a usefull service for TV readers so that they can find out where their nearest telephone exchange is and then find a condo or apartment which is within say 1/2/3/4 kilometers of the local exchange.

the BB service degrades the further away you go from the exchange.

however all the catenary wiring with phone cables running next to high voltage cables all baking in the sun may mean that you wont be able to get a fast and stable connection.

it does appear that they are now running fibre optic cable catenary style.

BB in thailand doesnt work any faster than a 56k modem @ the moment, if yer trying to find out why your net connection is so <deleted>, call CAT :o

FWIW, the ThinkNet MapMagic Bangkok software map does show telephone exchanges (Layers, Government/State Enterprises, State Enterprise). A search yields 29 telephone exchanges, and you can measure distances with this software. (Two caveats, not sure how you figure out which is your serving exchange, maybe ask TOT or True; any distance measurements may not reflect the actual wire run.)
