frankpelagic
I have True vision satellite tv, and the dish is mounted outside the verandah of my condo. City Hall have told all the condo owners to remove their dishes. Putting my dish inside the verandah is not really an option, as it is glazed in. Does anyone know of a company in Pattaya who can set something up for me so I can continue to receive TrueVision. (ComSat don't answer emails, and the True Vision help line seems to be staffed by simeons). Or, does anyone know if a dish will work behind glass. Finally, how about all the condo owners just ignore the instruction, what will happen? (Not my option of choice)
Soutpeel
How about one of the small dishes they put on the cars....less of an eye sore certainly..put it on the roof of the condo somewhere and run the cable down ??
EirikJohannesen
It would not surprise me if it works behind glass, the GPS signal is fine through the glass. In Norway we have the plastic sheet over his head to avoid the snow lay on the head and disk. You can paint the disk in the same color as the wall so no one sees it. Aachen
that depends mainly on the sort of glass. there is glass which absolutely absorbs all radiowaves and others does not.
Crossy
Unless the condo have provided an alternative common dish that you can link in to I doubt anyone is going to remove theirs. I would just wait and see what occurs.
PattayaParent
Any reason given by City Hall as to why they want the dishes removed? I would have thought it's nothing to do with them, it's surely not breaking any law? Edited June 7, 2011 by PattayaParent
astral
Does City Hall have such authority? I have heard of building manangement banning dishes, but the local government?????
prefabs
Looks like it may be the precursor to some kind of local tax coming along
hansened
yes. if you have seen the condo's with dishes all over; ITs an eye sore. Get rid of them all and force the condo owner to put the right ones on the roof for all condo owners to view. IT works. many have done it with the spliter boxes in the office.
