The blurb below is in another local paper here, unnamed. Do hope, tho, that the volunteer guides have their work permits in line.

As of this weekend, the National Museum Volunteers will be introducing English-language guided tours of the National Museum Bangkok on Saturdays, in addition to the regular Wednesday and Thursday tours.

An American volunteer guide with a group of English-speaking visitors at the National Museum Bangkok.

Until recently NMV guides provided free tours of the museum in four languages, English, French, German and Japanese, every Wednesday and Thursday. The non-profit agency is introducing additional day to enable the working community and weekend visitors to Bangkok to benefit from the treasures of the museum.

Although its regular tours start at 9:30am, Saturday tours will begin at 10am, providing ample time for visitors to arrive at the museum.

Just turn up at the box office with family and friends; the entrance fee is 200 baht but its guided tours are free of charge and are given by a passionate group of expats who simply love what they do.
