Hello

Just to make sure I'm on top of everything I have to ask the professionals.

I'm going to Thai language school in Bangkok and I have to get education visa.

I'm going to Laos 14th June to apply for ED Visa. My Thai tourist visa runs out the same day 14th June - I mean the latest stamp says: "Extension of stay permitted up to 14 JUN 2011. Can I get some problems because of this? Like overstay fine or something else?

Another thing. Am I missing anything? I got the documents from the school. I got the application form filled out and two pictures for it. My passport is valid until 2015. Do I need something more? Airplane ticket or documents to prove I can support myself financially - Is this needed?

With best regards

Sai

My friend has a 60 day tourist visa. Based on what I have read on TV so far, is it my understanding that she will not be able to convert the tourist visa into an Ed extension at the end of the 60 day stay and that she will have to leave Thailand to apply for an Ed visa?

If you are talking for language school that would appear to be the normal procedure.

Yes, I was.

She was hoping she would not have to leave the country.

Thanks for the reply.
