I wondering if anyone can help me with my query. I have an Irish passport. I am travelling to thailand and will arrive on June 28th and and will fly back home on August 6th. I know I require a visa as my trip is longer than 30 days but am wondering whether I require single entry visa or a double entry visa. Around 6 days after arriving in Bangkok I plan to travel to Laos and then return to Thailand about a week later by land. I plan to get my visa before I travel. Do I require a double entry visa for both my entries to thailand, or can I use my 30 days visa free on my first entry and then when returning from laos, use my single entry visa?I would really appreciate if anyone could help. Thanks

You should obtain a two entry visa as if you have visa in passport immigration can require that it be used or canceled. If you want to ask you can do the single and if unable to use visa exempt entry obtain another tourist visa in Vientiane if going to be there overnight. I would just get a two entry as they are not that expensive.
