Money Changers - Don Muang

Featured Replies

Hi all

Anyone know if the foreign exchange facilities at Don Muang are open early in the morning - 06:30 maybe? I have an early morning departure and need to get some USD before flying.

Cheers

And there are also money change machines.

After you check-in, pay the departure tax and clear passport control/immigration you enter the main airside concourse (International Terminals 1 & 2). There is at least one, (probably more?) full-service foreign exchange counter. I have seen it open at 05:00.

The machines only dispense THB not USD.

OK

Thanks for the info. guys.

That will save me the bother of having to track down a bank in Pattaya that actually has some USD. The more common currencies are sometimes available but there is never any guarantee - it all depends on how many people have been changing other cash into Baht, of course. Bank Gold, in Soi Rungland, Pattaya Nua, has been about the best bet in the past but again there is never any guarantee. There is another place in Walking Street, not far from the big tree, that is OK. Can't remember the name though.
