farangsay
Firstly Tokyo , Japan. Secondly , word clues don't work here LP. Recently I posted a pic of Aras an Uactarain (sometimes known as the White House) which is the president's official residence in Dublin. I made a reference to Washington. I said something like "a previous resident was Hilary but they couldn't spell the name right" (We had recently a president by the name of Hillery) and also that more recent residents had been female (Mary Robinson annd Mary McAleese). All to no avail. Even a pic of the ha'penny bridge didn't work (a Dublin landmark). Only O'Connell bridge (we know we're in Europe now , bus on the left side of the road) finally helped OC find it. Thirdly , what's with the he/she stuff? Firstly I do not resemble OC (and I'm only thinking of one of his recent posts - ask him yourself) or any of the wonderful creatures you may have seen in Pattaya ie big tits small willy , quite the opposite I'm afraid. I have been given so many clues, much more than any of you guys did before. If a little boy together with his fat man father can't find it, who else can ? LaoPo
No, it's not Jakarta; you are way too far south. Manilla ? Go north. As for the hints. Allow me to give them here again: 1. Hint: not Europe... 2. In fact it's in Asia 3. NO: It's not a Chinese speaking city/country. 4. (To Croc:) Not so long ago you were the one who gave me a hint; it's the same hint....but maybe you can't remember. 5. Where on earth does one find 2 of such buildings (1 Cityhall, 1 Church), close behind each other ?....and in what kind of place/city ? 6. ...there are typical Amsterdam - Holland houses on the left and back-right.................. 7. Travel a bit more east....(from Shenzhen) 8. If a little boy together with his fat man father can't find it, who else can ? Dan Sai Kid: maybe you're too young to understand hint #8 Don't you guys think all the buildings in the pic look a bit 'neat' ? Are they that old you think ? LaoPo
I do believe the church is in Nagasaki. Nagasaki is correct. My compliments ! Although I think you had a different church in mind Actually the picture I posted is part of a theme park in Nagasaki; a complete village in 17th century style, completely built as a copy of famous Dutch buildings and houses. """" A relatively recent addition to Nagasaki’s tourism spots, Huis Ten Bosch was the brain child of Yoshikuni Kamichika, who, after visiting the Netherlands in 1979, decided to re-create a classic 17th century style Dutch town. Nagasaki, with is long history with the Dutch, seemed the perfect place for the project which opened its gates in 1992. Huis Ten Bosch is complete with more than 3 miles of canals, replicas of famous Dutch buildings and a classic Dutch flower garden.. """" As for hint #8: "8. If a little boy together with his fat man father can't find it, who else can ?" Little Boy and Fat Man were the names of the 2 Atomic Bombs the USA dropped on Nagasaki.... Your turn Dan Sai Kid. Old Croc
Am I the only one actually posting pics of cities? That building could be any where on the planet. No point in trying to find it.
LaoPo
Am I the only one actually posting pics of cities? That building could be any where on the planet. No point in trying to find it. Neeraram is the OP of this Forum, which is great fun ! In his first post #1 he wrote this: "Here is a new game called 'What's the City?" All you do is post a photo of a city or a famous landmark in the city." Maybe Neeraram (and others, like Old Croc) should give some guidelines and rules to play/post by ? What do you think ?
