Battery Recycling/Disposal

Featured Replies

I have 2 old UPS batteries which I have changed for new ones , the old batteries are no good.

I read a while back about battery drop off points ( I think one was Airport Plaza), but I asked at the shop I bought the batteries at Airport and some other shops and no one had a clue.

Does anyone know how I can responsibly dispose of these batteries?

Suggest you search for the previous thread on this, which had mention of a number of sites. The thread was less than six months ago.

Many thanks, I will go there and see if I can find it. Computer Plaza- must have walked past it quite a few times!

I did a search for battery recycling and disposal before posting - nothing came up!

found this page. http://teen.mthai.com/lifesgood/hitech/839.html it is in thai but it says you can put the batteries in bin bag and label it "poisonous trash" or "Old Battery" so the garbage man will know. if you have a lot, many kilos, you can call up the garbage authority in your area to pick it up from your home.

Do you have to write it in Thai?
