Richb2004v2
Whilst I am sure it is not permitted to ship general food stuff I wonder about dried items. My wife wants to ship a box full of herbs, sauces and general cooking ingredients. The kind of things that are in sealed packets and have best before dates of a couple of years or more. I just wondered what the rules are about this. I don't want to ask the courier in case it is not permitted. If I just send it with the other dozen boxes I wonder if it will be a big deal? Any experience anyone?
afarang
Many of these things ,yes you can. But you need to check the Customs Import regulations of whichever country ,you wish to send them too. Most Countries customs import regulations are freely available on- line. Take particular note of the weight limits. They may render it , given freight expenses , economically non- viable. That is, it is cheaper to buy in your home country, paying retail prices
