Tourist Police lead raid on well-known South Pattaya Bar

PATTAYA: -- The Tourist Police led a raid on a popular late-night bar close to Walking Street, in the early hours of Friday. Police Lieutenant Colonel Arun led the operation in conjunction with Pattaya Police and the Pattaya branch of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau who made their way to the Bamboo Bar, located close to the entrance of Walking Street.

Why would the tourist police be "leading" a raid that includes conducting drug tests and checking operating liscences?

Did not expect that the people inside this bar are known for being yaba addicts. Ok, haven't been there long time, but would expect drug raids in many, many other places!
