Recruiting Cambodian Staff

Featured Replies

The missus wants to explore the option of employing Cambodian staff.

Does anyone have any experience of this and the formalities that you have to go through ?

there are two ways, the normal work permit way (ie 4 Thai staff for 1 work permit etc).

Or you can go via the migrant labour programme which is done via the Ampur and the local labour department. Allows you to hire migrant labour from Laos, Cambodia or Burma Good if you want to hire labourers, domestic help etc.

The beauty of the system is that you don't need to worry about registered capital in a company, ratio of Thai to non-Thai workers etc. And non-Thai's can register to hire people under the system.

A bit of background (with a Burmese focus)

A couple of threads in the past I've written on this basically a 'how to':

Assuming that you, Cardholder are the talent scout/procurer -whatever -I presume you will be making further forays into the Cambodian countryside in the not too distant future.:whistling:
