Lpg Conversion Of A 1994 Volkswagen Vento

Featured Replies

I am about to become the proud owner of a Volkswagen Vesto 1.5 Auto, little dream machine as far as Thailand and old cars go.

Can I put an LPG system in it and how much will it cost me?

I live in Ratchaburi so local ish areas would be appreciated or general views on the subject

Thank you in advance

you probably need to supply correct engine info, as i havent heard of 1994 1,5. possibly 1,6, likely 1,8, perhaps2,0 all 2 valves

both 1,8 and 2,0 runs fine on LPG, but for a 17 year old you never know ;)

I'm curious- I've heard that LPG engines will not last nearly as long as gasoline or diesel- true or false?

Every day you see thousands of them blown up at the side of the roads.

a gasoline engine running LPG will not last as long as same engine running gasoline. Combustion temperetaure is higher. But some engines last almost as long, while some last only 60k km before 5-20k baht repair is needed. Typical valves, seats, possibly pistons, possibly head

VW/Audi/Seat 2 valves are known to last long on LPG
