Hi Folks

Can anyone offer me any assistance in relation to the 90dayNon-O Visa? I am going back to the UK this Friday and have downloaded a copy ofthe visa application form thinking that I could forward a letter fromimmigration in Thailand, confirming my Thai Address along with my rental agreement, and then forward it the Thai consulate in the UK and receive a 1year Non-Oimmigrant Visa, but it now looks like this option is no longer available. When Ichecked the criteria a few months ago I could have used this option. Has anyoneapplied recently for a 90day Non-O Visa and what documentation was required?

Unless you are over 50 or married to a Thai you do simply no longer qualify.

It will be a tourist visa or if you want to study you could get an ED-visa with a letter from a school.

I am over 50, but not yet married. I do not have 800,000baht in a thai bank either, mainly because i do not want too exchange the money while the exchange rate is so poor. His their another option for me being over50 years old?

Ask Hull for a single-entry (90 day) non-immigrant "O" visa for the purpose of investigating retirement. It may work. No 800,000 baht needed. A multiple-entry non-immigrant "O" visa is good for multiple 90 day stays in Thailand for 1 year, but really pushing your luck to be issued one.

As said, you can get a non-O multiple based on that from Hull. Check their webiste for the right documents for over 50/retirement.

The 800,000 is for an extension of stay from immigration. (There is also the option of showing an income of 65,000 a month (can be from abroad) or the combination of yearly income and money in the bank in Thailand totaling 800,000.
