We have desperately been looking for a park where we can bring our dogs. It seems that no parks in Bangkok allow access with dogs.

We went to Queen sirikit park yesterday and we did not see any signs of "dogs not allowed" it was around 1pm and almost no people in the park.

Both our dogs were on a leash. Rather quickly some park staff came running and told us to leave. Fair enough.

We then asked them where we could bring the dogs and was told that the entrance to Jatujak park right next to the old train museum allowed access with dogs.

We walked around for some time and enjoyed the nice weather when suddenly some semi-aggressive Thai jogger came and confronted us and told us to leave. My girlfriend

told him that we had been told we could walk our dogs here, the guy became more aggressive and turned around while saying just leave. Very arrogant little guy.

We ignored him and kept walking and always kept distance to other people in the park as to not create any disturbance. The little annoyed jogger guy went totally crazy

when he saw we didn't leave. He ran down to the lake and waived his arms at some security guy on the other side of the lake, he clapped his little annoyed jogger hands furiously to get attention.

The security guy came on his bike and told us that unfortunately we could not stay, we asked him what about the other little dog not far from us, he then proceeded to tell them

to leave as well. The jogger guy came by to show he won and didn't lose face and gave us some comments on the way. My girlfriend got upset and he left while muttering something from

his breath about her being a prostitute ??? Extremely rude behavior, I wanted to seriously rip him apart but know better so just left hot-headed. (we always pick up the poop from our dogs, we are responsible owners and our dogs neither bark or act aggressive and are always on a leash)

End of rant :)

Where can we go in Bangkok with our dogs where we are allowed and do not "disturb" people. Parks, fun stuff to do. Anything :)

We do take the dogs to the beach sometimes but we are looking for some activity we can do without traveling for hours.

A park in Bangkok that accepts dogs; As far as I know, there is none.

Dogs are even banned from national parks in Thailand (official penalty 1,000 bath even if I remember right)

I cannot imagine a park that officially allows dogs, only option should be to find somewhere park-like with few people

I understand your frustration ! I actually found a few places from previous threads on TV, so I am happy to share these with you.

1) Ozono- Sukhumvit 39. Small public area for your dogs to run around and play in. Private park membership is also available.

2) If you want a more expansive area, try Buang Non Bon watersports reservoir next to Rama 9 park about 30 minutes from central Bangkok. Put this code into TH google maps 13.6944,100.663984

3) Bang Saen Beach- if you have a car about 1 hr from central Bangkok by expressway.

4) There are other private dog parks, try the Thai dog magazines they are usually advertised in here.

You can also try the land inside the Ministry of Public Health near ngamWong Wan: exit at the first exit for NgamWongWan and take a right turn just coming off the exit ramp: small side street: meanders and then get to the gates to go within the minstry of Public Health. There is a pavillion on the right and it is surrounded by water: a few stray dogs can be around but usually not a problem: large ponds (green water) and undulating grounds. If you don;t go to the pavillion: further on the right there is also a large area where people with mainly small dogs gather around 5pm: they enforce a strict pooper scooper law but politely. You can find a thread with photos somewhere on this forum...
