Parents and brother were born in Brooklyn, and I in New Jersey. I worked in NYC and visited many times. Most of the fights I saw were in New Jersey bars and none involved weapons. They did get a little out of hand but never did I see anyone kicking anyone while they were already down on the ground. Gangs do that all over the world but regular people no, besides what I've seen and heard of here. Certain kind of mentality where most everyone ends up fighting the same way, passed along generation after generation. -
