When this city gonna realise that by employing so many police volunteers they are helping the corruption big time.Every taxi motorbike has a radio these days, there are more police volunteers in Pattaya than there are ordinary people, and you know what happens when you give a Thai power.

I remember I had a minor traffic issue some time ago which I disputed because it was a scam, some guy shop owner started calling pattaya song, pattaya song on a radio, and within 2 minutes there were 2 motorbike taxi's arriving with a gold medal in there neck.I was lucky that at the same time a "real " policeman arrived and those guys disappeared like snow for the sun.I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw motorbike taxis arriving supposed to clear up police matters.

What do you expect when people don't challenge those many cheats around? Those sheepish personalities are rewarding and smileing at any scams they fell into, so, what message are we giving to those corrupted elements? I am surprised that actually crime didn't grow much more of what it is already, just wait and see...

I witnessed a disagreement between a foreigner and a Thai business owner.

The foreigner was respectful but insistent the police be called.

The Thai business owner then went to see a policeman, across the street.

The policeman could not be bothered so he sent over 7 motorbike taxi drivers to "settle" the matter with the foreigner.

Nice way to treat visitors in a tourist town........
