netkoala
reworded ........... There seems to be many English schools and they probably deduct fees for helping to get a work permit. If I choose to work part time, will this be a problem, do you need to satisfy some hourly requirement, minimum gross for the work permit ? Could I go about applying for the work permit and free lance if I'm qualified?
bluebear
The work permit specifies your place of work. you cant get a freelance WP or a part time one. It will only be issued if you have ( I think ) 24hrs contact time each week at your (only) employer. Realistically, this means you will be full time - you cant teach this amount without at least a minimum of another 5 hrs prep time. The schools are supposed to pay for the WP themselves, if you are asked to contribute go to a new school.
