Are there any online map systems?  I've spent 30 mins trying out some, but they don't seem very good.

Ideally something that you can type in the road name and it will produce a pretty map

They have a map for Bangkok.

Thanks, this seems great for finding services, although not so good for finding streets.  If I type in 3 Sukhumvit road for example it wont find it.

Is there an online map that may do this?

If you search for just Sukhumvit

you are given  a list of maps to chose from

if you then click on Sukhumvit 2

you will get a map which covers Sukhumvit 3
