Why not just top-up at any Thai bank ATM or thru your Thai bank online if you have a local account? Wouldn't trust my farangland credit card details to AIS' internal and server security systems.

It would good to know:

Do any/all foreign credit/debit cards work?

What is the actual cost (foreign CC fees, exchange rates)?

People do routinely ask about topping up SIMs from outside the country, and not everyone has a internet-enabled local account. And SIMs do require a 90-day "activity", so perhaps a solution for some.

Thanks for the tip.

I think they've advertised this service for a while, but maybe they've finally got it working. I just tried a test of it but end up with "The service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." Not sure how the are going to deal with CC fraud, as for 150 thb you can buy credit card details and top up for 1500.

thaiprepaidcard.com is still much easier, but a bit more expensive, but not giving up your Credit Card details.
